Dog Walking/Pet Sitting

I have been providing dog walking and pet sitting services in the Swanzey/Keene area of New Hampshire for approximately 10 years.  Whether you are going on a weekend trip, vacation or just need someone to come in and check on your pets while you are at work, you will find my rates reasonable and your pet(s) in good hands.

Listed below are descriptions and prices of my services. Please take a moment to review our policies regarding cancellations, payment, scheduling, and more.

SERVICES/RATES

Dog Walking/Pet Sitting

Whether it’s a quick "potty break", a cruise around the neighborhood or fetch
in your back yard, we’re there for your pet while you’re at work or away.
Visits include fresh food and water, walking, playtime, medication administration, litterbox scooping/changing, and lots of love and attention.

1 Visit Daily - $15

Each Additional Visit - $10

As a former veterinary technician, I am trained to
administer medications both orally and by injection.

House Sitting

Don't have a pet but still worry about your home while you're away? I can help.
House sitting services include mail retrieval, light and/or shade adjustments,
and plant watering to maintain that lived-in look. If you think of anything else,
just ask and I will do my best to meet your needs.

Dog Sitting - Our Home

Dog sitting in our home is an alternative to kenneling your dog when you are going to be away. Whether it’s for one night or many, we are happy to welcome your dog into our home and be a part of our family.

Dogs must be house-broken, well-socialized and up-to-date on all immunizations.

Note: A two hour grace period is allowed for drop off and pick up times.
Anything beyond that will be charged at $5/hour

Pet Chauffeur

Having trouble finding the time to take your pet to the vet or groomer? Let me do it for you. Whatever the destination I’ll get your loved one there safe and on time.

POLICIES

My goal is to provide your pets with the best care possible. Please take a moment to review these policies and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.

Meet and Greet

An in-home interview or “Meet and Greet” is required for all new clients prior to the first scheduled visit. While I can tentatively pencil in your dates, I must meet you and your pets and assess your needs before I can make a commitment to providing care for your pets.

We will review forms, sign agreements, and do a quick walk through to learn where your pet's supplies are including food, medicine, leashes, walking area, etc. I like to allow enough time to make sure all questions are asked and answered, so please set aside a minimum of one hour. I strongly suggest this interview take place as close to the start of your services as possible so that meeting me will still be fresh in your pet’s memory.

Please have a copy of your key made prior to our meeting as well as a copy of vet records showing that your pet(s) is/are up to date with vaccinations.

Scheduling

To schedule a visit, please call or email me. I do not charge extra for last minute visits and will do my best to accommodate all of your requests. However, the earlier I know your needs, the more likely I will be able to meet them.

Cancellations

To cancel a visit, please call at least an hour in advance of my scheduled arrival time. If I arrive at your home and your pet is not at home, or if you simply no longer need the visit, you will be charged for the full amount of the scheduled visit. I do understand that emergencies happen and reserve the right to waive any fees for these situations.

Payments

Payment for services is due at time of service. I accept cash, checks and credit card payment via PayPal. Checks must be made payable to Kathleen Coleman.

Cancelled/Returned Checks

If a check is cancelled or returned for insufficient funds, you will be charged a $28 fee. If this happens more than once, you will be required to pay by cash or money order in advance before any future services will be rendered. I reserve the right to refuse services due to insufficient payment history.

Extreme Weather Conditions

Your pets' health and safety are always my first concern. With this in mind, routine vet and grooming appointments will need to be rescheduled if the roads are considered dangerous for travel. Please call if you are staying home or returning home early due to bad weather so that I can avoid being on the road unneccesarily. The goal is to get everyone off of the roads and home safely as quickly as possible.
